Exhibition Essay

As we are constantly swinging between our multiple realities, there lies a sweet spot which
we leave to our imagination. For some, this is filled by magic moments of their fantasies, and
for others, there is an intense desire. In this liminal space, lies your dreamland. Full of your
happy memories, or beautiful things that you envision for yourself.

These can be inspired by
the fairytales you read as a little girl, or an alternate reality you live in. Art is the purest
medium to showcase their dreamland through the array of colors, textures and layers of your
own dreamland. We hope to create this ultimate fantasy world with artists in this Online
Exhibit.

Curator’s Note

I am so excited to present this amazing group of international artists who have interpreted this into their own way. I was looking for artists who used different mediums, who may also come from different places in the world, to create an inclusive and diverse depiction of what dreamland means to each of us.

Dreamland can be a place we can escape to through our imagination or storytelling or history or even art.
Dreamland can also be something we are living in and we are respecting the things are already in our life.
The artists in this show create dreamland some using fanntasy and some by appreciatng what they are currently living in.

I wanted to share both the perspectives. And celebrate how dreaming can keep us all going in adversity and in joy.
And, some artists have touched pain and some focused on beauty.
There are colours, textures, stories.
And, celebrate all of us together.

  1. After reading your article, it reminded me of some things about gate io that I studied before. The content is similar to yours, but your thinking is very special, which gave me a different idea. Thank you. But I still have some questions I want to ask you, I will always pay attention. Thanks.
