Liz Lidgett: The New Age Gallerist That Will Steal Your Heart

liz lidgett

Art is a language that transcends boundaries, creating a universal connection that speaks to our innermost emotions and experiences. Women have been vital contributors to this artistic discourse, shaping the landscape with their insightful, innovative ideas. One such woman making waves in this realm is Liz Lidgett, an art advisor and founder of Liz Lidgett Gallery + Design.

Liz Lidgett, based in Des Moines, Iowa, has carved out a niche for herself in the art world. She founded her business as an art advisor in 2012 after working as an in-house curator for a corporate collection. Recognizing the need for professional art advisory services, she established Liz Lidgett Gallery + Design, an art gallery and full-service art advising firm catering to both personal and corporate collections.

Lidgett’s work goes beyond the confines of her gallery. She is also an art collector and an enthusiastic advocate for the role of art in transforming spaces and lives. Her passion for art is infectious, as seen in her social media platforms where she actively engages with her followers, sharing insights into her work, advice on selecting and displaying artwork, and showcasing available pieces from her gallery.

Additionally, Lidgett holds a master’s degree in Curatorial Practice and the Public, further solidifying her expertise in the field. Her knowledge and understanding of art, combined with her keen eye for detail, enable her to provide valuable advice to clients looking to build or manage their art collections.

Whether through her advisory services, her gallery, or her outreach efforts, Liz Lidgett is committed to making art accessible and enjoyable for all. She is a shining example of the impact women can make in the art world, using their passion and expertise to inspire others and make art a part of everyday life.

About Liz Lidgett

Liz Lidgett is an art advisor and founder of Liz Lidgett Gallery + Design, She works with people to find the perfect piece of art for their style, space, and budget.  Liz has worked with brands like Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart Online, and Apartment Therapy. She lives in Des Moines, IA, with her husband, Nick Renkoski, their children, Rocky and Effie, and their ever-expanding art collection.

Liz Lidgett’s passion for art allowed her to see that competent art consulting for private companies and corporations was a need that wasn’t being filled. With that in mind, she began her art consultation business, Adore Your Walls, in 2013.

Since then, her business has grown. She recognized once again that online and national consulting – the type that exists for furniture and interior design – was completely absent in the art world and has expanded her services, including a gallery space.

With her developed expertise, Adore Your Walls has evolved into her new brand: Liz Lidgett Gallery + Design. Within the rebrand, Liz continues to consult, partner with artists, and regularly contribute to design publications across the country.
