About the Artist

Cristina Ciccone is a northern artist currently living and working in South London. She studied an MA at Chelsea College of Art and Design and a PGCE in Art and Design Education at Goldsmiths College, London. She currently works in art education alongside her practise.

About Artist’s Work:

Her current work considers the transformative effects of recent world circumstances and our re-connection with the concept of ‘Home’ in both its tangible and emotional states, through use of wallpaper print taken directly from the home environment, alongside layered, shifting organic forms.
Each work is titled with the street name in which the artist works and lives when making, with each creative decision being led by their emotional and physical state within each lived address.

What does “Home” mean to you:

Home is the physical form that encloses and protects your mental state. Home is refuge and safety.
