At the Arts to Hearts Project, we believe murals are more than just paint on walls, they’re a language of community, identity, and bold expression. Murals transform everyday spaces into powerful visual narratives that speak to the soul, spark conversations, and celebrate shared experiences.

Over the years, we’ve proudly spotlighted over 30,000+ artists from around the world, uplifting their voices through curated exhibitions, thoughtful publications, and heartfelt storytelling. With a vibrant and ever-growing community of 100,000+ creatives and supporters, Arts to Hearts continues to celebrate all forms of art — from delicate sketches to towering murals creating spaces where authentic expression thrives.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on a group of phenomenal muralists whose work has truly captivated us. These artists don’t just decorate walls, they transform them into portals of meaning, layering colour, shape, and story to reflect both personal and collective experiences.

From vibrant public statements to intimate reflections painted on a large scale, each mural featured in this spotlight is rooted in intention, impact, and imagination. These muralists invite us to see the world differently not just by looking, but by feeling, remembering, and reimagining what’s possible.

1. Ant Carver (@antcarver)

Ant Carver is a London-based muralist celebrated for his distinctive blend of street art and classical portraiture. Known as one of the most emotionally deep and visually striking muralists of his generation, Ant combines the raw energy of graffiti with the finesse of oil painting to create layered, expressive faces that speak to identity, memory, and human vulnerability.

His journey began in his teens through graffiti, evolving into large-scale murals that merge rainbow palettes, drips, and spray-painted abstraction with hand-painted detail. A Fine Art graduate from Oxford Brookes University, he works from his studio in Hackney, producing both public works and intimate studio pieces. His deeply personal solo exhibition All Alone in a Crowded Room created after the loss of a close friend  marked a pivotal moment in his career, transforming personal grief into powerful visual storytelling. With murals spread across East London and beyond, Ant Carver continues to push the boundaries of public art, earning his place as not only a visual innovator but truly one of the best muralists of his generation.

2. Will Rea (@willustration_)

Will Rea, known professionally as Willustration, is a London-based visual artist and one of the best muralists working in the UK today. Specializing in hand-painted murals, bespoke signage, illustration, and creative build projects, Will’s work merges technical, observational detail with bold, colorful compositions that transform spaces and spark connection. Will earned a First-Class degree in Illustration from Sheffield Hallam University and began his freelance career in Sheffield, building a name for himself with every new project. In 2024, he made the move to North London, where his work has only grown bigger and bolder leading to major commissions and award-winning pieces that showcase his evolving craft.

Over the years, Will has brought his art to some incredible places  from painting a striking mural for Trustpilot’s London HQ to creating a colossal piece in Sheffield’s Orchard Square shopping centre, which went on to win the prestigious World Illustration Award in 2021. He’s left his mark in all kinds of ways, from a floral mural in a Chelsea bridal suite to hand-painted signage on a railway bridge for The Junction, and even an illustrative campaign that brightened Oxford Street for the Platinum Jubilee. Will loves working with people just as much as he loves painting walls. He’s naturally curious and collaborative, finding energy in teaming up with different brands, communities, and creatives. Every project  whether it’s a mural, a hand-painted sign, an illustration, or a full-scale build  is a chance for him to learn something new and push his creativity further. That mix of passion, craftsmanship, and storytelling has made Will more than just a painter; it’s what’s earned him his place as one of today’s best muralists.
