101 Art Book: Texture Edition | Submissions We Have Received So Far
There is something so lovely about seeing artists come together around a shared idea, each bringing their own perspective, materials, and stories to the table. At Arts to Hearts Project, every new art book reminds us why we love creating these opportunities. The excitement, the thoughtful submissions, and the incredible variety of work artists share with us make every edition feel special in its own way.
Our 101 Art Book: Texture Edition is no different! We have been receiving so much love and enthusiasm from artists around the world, and we are already enjoying discovering the many ways texture finds its way into their work. From intricate surfaces and layered materials to unexpected marks and tactile details, every submission offers something new to look at.
And the best part? Submissions are still open! With guest curator Rachel Burke, the Brisbane-based artist, designer, and author known for her playful, material-driven practice, this edition is an invitation to explore the many possibilities of texture through art.
Before we get to the deadline, here is a little look at some of the submissions we have received so far!

How To Apply
Submitting to 101 Art Book: Texture Edition is an opportunity to share your work with a wider audience and become part of an international collection of contemporary artists. Simply visit the Arts to Hearts Project open call page or use the link below, review the submission guidelines, and send in your application before the deadline.
Deadline: October 15, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
This open call welcomes individual artists aged 18 and above from anywhere in the world. Emerging, mid-career, established, professional, independent, and self-taught artists are all encouraged to apply. We welcome original work across painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, collage, printmaking, mixed media, digital art, and more.
If texture plays a role in your artistic practice, whether through materials, layers, surfaces, or the process of making, we would love to see what you create.
What’s In It For Artists?
Being selected means more than having your work published. Each of the 101 selected artists will receive a dedicated two-page spread in the premium hardcover book and an official certificate of recognition. Artists will also be part of a marketing and PR campaign reaching the Arts to Hearts Project community of 200,000+ and its 100,000+ email subscribers, with distribution through the Arts to Hearts Project Shop, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.
Three artists from the final selection will also receive additional recognition, including a $500 cash award for the winner, four-page features, glass trophies, certificates, promotional features, and Artsy artist listings.
Five Days Left To Bring Your Texture To The Page
We are getting closer to the finish line, but there is still room for your work in 101 Art Book: Texture Edition! If you have been waiting for the right moment to apply, we hope this is your sign to take that next step and share what you have been creating.
With Rachel Burke joining us as guest curator, we cannot wait to see the different materials, surfaces, layers, and creative processes artists bring to this edition. Your work does not have to look a certain way or fit into a particular style. We simply want to see how texture becomes part of your artistic story.
The deadline is October 15, 2026, so you have just five days left to submit! We are so excited to discover more of your work and welcome another wonderful group of artists into the 101 Art Book family. Let us see what texture looks like through your eyes. We will be waiting for your submissions!
