About the Artist

Rachel Nell is a Canadian Artist based in Calgary, Alberta. Rachel has her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications Degree and Diploma in Interior Design. While creating is an exorbitant part of her life, she is also a sleepless stay at home mother to four beautiful young, wild and active children.

Artist Statement

Rachel explores her subjects through her expressive process of displaying colour and energy lavishly through her application of acrylic paint on canvas. She works to capture the energy of each individual subject, to highlight the relationship the object or person has to the universe. With each piece of work she creates she aims to pull the energy from within the subject to the outside world for her viewers.
