Field Full of Blossoms explores the artist’s upbringing in Georgia in connection to growing up on a farm. This piece intertwines the fears of prejudice and isolation, and the celebration of uniqueness and perseverance.
2- Heidi Taillifer
My work depicts the ubiquity of technology throughout society and our gradual merger with it. This happens despite our eternal struggles with the human condition, which, unlike technological advancements, remains fixed and unchanging.
3- Sam Jacobs
This piece marks a new beginning for me as an artist. Using self-taught macrame and knot works techniques to create large sculptural pieces, experimenting with materials, textures, shape, and form.
4- Michelle Osman
Over by the railroad tracks on the north side of town, there is a building with lots of character and a Statue of Liberty. The turbulent sky in this painting adds emotional weight to the USA’s long and tumultuous relationship with immigration and is a reminder that most of our ancestors were once new arrivals on this land.
5- Allison Renshaw
Allison’s mixed media work is made up of fragmented images. These fragments create a universe that is seemingly random and difficult to decipher. Lines between the organic and man-made become blurred and a larger narrative is evoked. Fragments acknowledge interpretive ambiguities and open the work to sequences of spatial and temporal lapses.
6- Alannah Anderson
Lady Wisdom” embodies the ethereal essence of feminine wisdom. With wings adorning her head, she soars beyond earthly confines, radiating a spiritual aura. This painting invites viewers to embrace their inner intuition, nurturing their connection to the profound wisdom that lies within the feminine spirit.
7- Silver Francis
This concept illuminates the elemental role of death as a transformative gateway. The lynx skull, once a vessel of life’s fierce determination, now finds its purpose anew, a silent sentinel amidst vibrant new growth. It reminds us that life and death are not opposing forces but harmonious partners, orchestrating the eternal symphony of nature.
8- Aleena Sharif
This painting shows a pose so many of us do in private and so often we don’t even think about in order to shed light and create transparency about the fact that everyone does it.
9- Diana Demianova
In times of war, when Russia tries to kill Ukrainian people and take our territory and freedom with guns, the thing that is impossible to take away from me is my origin, heritage, and freedom. Ukrainian brand of embroidery Etnodim launched a joint collection with the National Center of Folk Culture “Ivan Gonchar Museum.” Clothes from the line created on the basis of fragments of embroidery Clothing from the line was created on the basis of fragments of embroideries of the 18th-20th century, stored in the Gonchar Museum and cannot be restored.
