What began as a mission to create space for women artists to rise has now grown into a global movement one that honours their stories, celebrates their perspectives, and amplifies their voices in ways the art world has long needed. The Woman Artist Award, now in its third year and fifth edition, stands at the center of this mission, offering recognition that is not just symbolic but genuinely transformative.

Over the years, Arts to Hearts Project has brought together more than 200 women artists through its international publications, features, and community-driven initiatives. These aren’t just numbers; they are lives touched, careers uplifted, and creative paths forever altered. And today, we continue this journey with another remarkable edition of the Woman Artist Award.

About the Woman Artist Award

Launched in 2023, the Woman Artist Award was born out of a simple yet powerful belief: women artists deserve spaces where they are not just included, but celebrated. The Award highlights emerging and mid-career women creators from across the globe, offering opportunities for professional visibility through high-quality publications, media features, and mentorship.

In its earlier editions, the Award introduced countless women artists through the Women Artists On The Rise books hardcover collections cherished by collectors, gallerists, and cultural spaces worldwide. These books became bridges, connecting artists with an international audience and leading many to new exhibitions, collaborations, and a renewed sense of confidence in their practice.

The Prize has also offered more than USD 10,000 in awards and support, affirming a commitment not only to recognition, but to meaningful investment in women’s creative futures. Each edition brings with it a sense of anticipation, possibility, and the joy of discovering new voices ready to shape the contemporary art landscape.

What Makes This Edition Special

This edition continues the tradition of celebrating the depth and diversity of women’s artistic expression. And what an extraordinary journey it has been. Women artists from around the world submitted work that felt like conversations intimate, bold, reflective, and deeply rooted in lived experience. Some works explored identity and the layered nature of being a woman today. Others carried the weight of cultural memory, healing, transformation, and resilience. Many offered quiet moments of beauty, gestures of tenderness, or bursts of imaginative storytelling.

There was no theme for this edition intentionally. We wanted to witness truth in its rawest form. We wanted women to show us their world, their voice, their heart. And they did. Beautifully, powerfully, courageously. What we received were artworks that didn’t just fill pages; they filled us with emotion. They reminded us that women artists are not waiting for permission to lead they are leading. Their perspectives are shaping conversations, challenging norms, and expanding the possibilities of contemporary art right now.

The Selection Process

Our curatorial team approached this edition with immense care, knowing that every submission carried a piece of someone’s journey. We spent weeks immersed in the artists’ stories reading, observing, reflecting, and allowing each work the time it deserved.

We witnessed works born from vulnerability, experimentation, introspection, rebellion, tenderness, and creative fire. Across mediums, styles, and approaches, the common thread was unmistakable: authenticity. These are women creating with honesty, depth, and an unfiltered desire to express what is real to them.

Choosing the finalists and winners was a task filled with reverence. Every artist brought something essential to the table. But ultimately, the works selected for this edition stood out for their clarity of voice, their emotional resonance, and the way they stayed with us long after we looked away.
