The Arts to Hearts Project Instagram page is all about giving women artists a place to talk about their work, and each week it asks its members a single question. This week, the focus of the investigation was on how artists in our community come up with creative ideas.
Every artist has their own unique way of coming up with ideas, like having brainstorming sessions, getting ideas from nature, or putting themselves in a certain environment and letting ideas flow freely.
Some artists choose a structured approach, where they break ideas down into pieces they can handle and set goals they can reach. Some artists find it more helpful to let their imaginations run wild and try out different ideas without setting limits. No matter which way you look at it, the answers our community members gave show how creative our women artists are.
The Arts to Hearts Project is happy to give our members a chance to talk about their lives and ideas and we’re grateful for the look into the lives and creative processes of our talented creators.
So keep on reading to know How do artists come up with creative ideas.
Being successful and having the ability to think of original ideas and find answers both require a healthy dose of creativity on your part. But how exactly can you come up with creative ideas? When you are experiencing feelings of being stuck or uninspired, it can be difficult to know where to begin.
So now, we’ll discuss five ways to unleash the full potential of your brain and come up with creative ideas.
Spend Some Time Daydreaming and Pondering Fresh Concepts
Daydreaming is a great way to expand your creative horizons and your capacity for thought. It can do wonders for your creativity to set aside a little bit of time every day to do nothing but let your mind roam. Allowing yourself the freedom to investigate a variety of alternatives can help you learn something new or provide you with a fresh viewpoint on something that has already been considered.
Make Use Of Sessions For Brainstorming
In order to generate original ideas, holding brainstorming sessions with other artists and bouncing different thoughts off of each other is an excellent method. The process of brainstorming is most effective when it is carried out in a group setting. This enables a number of individuals, each of whom brings a unique point of view to the table, to collaborate in order to develop an idea that is more comprehensive than what any one person could have thought of on their own.
Get out of your rut and do something adventurous.
Keeping to the boundaries of your familiar environment can hinder your capacity to come up with truly original thoughts. You can expose yourself to new ways of thinking and give yourself the opportunity to approach challenges from a different perspective if you challenge yourself by engaging in activities that are outside of your comfort zone or by putting yourself in circumstances that are outside of your norm.
The majority of artists have a tendency to think about problems in the same manner they always have, which ultimately leads to their coming up with the same kinds of answers they always have. When you reframe a problem, you are able to look at it from a completely different aspect, which ultimately leads to you coming up with more creative solutions.
Put Aside Your Electronic Devices
Although technology has become deeply interwoven in our lives, it does not always foster an environment that is conducive to the generation of creative ideas. Taking breaks from technology, even if they are only for a few minutes at a time, might help clear the mental obstacles that prevent us from viewing things in a different light and coming up with creative ideas.
By incorporating these tips into your creative process, you’ll be well on your way towards coming up with unique solutions and brilliant plans.
And The Arts To Hearts Project is excited to collaborate with selected artists to create the studio visit book Vol 1 that will be curated by non-other than Jealous Curator aka Danielle Krysa that will be released in April- May of 2023.
