Stephanie Gowdy also known as Alyrical is a visual artist born and raised in South Florida. As an artist Alyrical works with acrylic on canvas along with mixed media graphite and charcoal on paper for portraits. Alyrical’s vision is that art can be for everyone, using it to not only create awareness for multiple topics but bring society together. Jessica Larsen
Jessica Larsen was born in rural Idaho. She is currently still living and producing work in her country studio. Intrigued by time, memory and nostalgia, Larsen works intuitively to create work that invokes the recollection of memory through abstraction and material. Larsen, also a trained woodworker, blends her skills as a craftsperson with her formal and painterly aesthetic to create contemporary pieces. Using humble mediums, such as homebuilding and homemaking supplies, Larsen is aestheticizing the ordinary and commonplace materials that surround us. The mixed media artworks are invitations from the artist to hold space for the allure that exists within the inconspicuous and overlooked details. Larsen recently graduated with an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from the University of Nevada, Reno. She received her BFA from Boise State University and obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Woodworking and Cabinetry from the College of Southern Idaho. Larsen teaches Woodworking and CNC Milling at her alma mater, the College of Southern Idaho. She takes pride in serving her community by offering community education courses and has recently started volunteering her time as a board member of the Magic Valley Art Council. Laura Radwell
Laura Radwell, a native New Yorker, is an artist and devoted collector of visual impressions who has lived in Northampton, Massachusetts since 1974. She attended schools in New York, Massachusetts, and in France, studying language, literature, and psychology. With little to no formal training, she found her own way in a variety of media including batik, sculpture, calligraphy, graphic design, and painting. In the early 1990s Radwell began focusing on photomontage, but then needed to turn her full attention to her growing business, Radwell Communication by Design.
In November of 2009 she resumed the photo-based work, deconstructing and recomposing elements of nature and the built environment. This time the work was entirely digital, beginning with photographs she captured of the landscape, deteriorating surfaces like oxidized metal and chipped paint, and objects of interest (grimy factory windows, walls showing the effects of time, cracked cement, etc.). Blended and arranged on a virtual canvas, abstractions based on real world elements were created, challenging habitual ways of seeing.
In September of 2014, she took up her oils once again. At first, the work resembled landscapes she had painted decades earlier. But her style quickly evolved into a new mode of painting that was actually informed by the digital work she had been doing. What has now emerged is a way of painting landscapes that is more expressive, and one that produces more abstract studies in color, texture, and form. Though abstract, the work contains an aesthetic that landscapes have often manifested over time, one which conveys feelings and emotions that range from peace and acceptance to turmoil and yearning, depending on the vantage point of the view

Christine Romanell
Christine Romanell’s colorful wall sculptures and installations explore non-repeating patterns informed by cosmology and physics, while rooting itself in applied design similar to Islamic patterning. Her use of rotational symmetry to generate dimensional forms allude to movement and create an event horizon, a space where the infinite tessellations of universal physics can intersect with patterns, collapsing the divide between the theoretical and the real.
Romanell lives and works in New Jersey where she’s on the board of Manufacturers Village Artists space in East Orange. She is the founder and editor of NotWhatItIs art blog. Her work has been discussed in Hyperallergic, MIT Technology Review, All She Makes, Art and Cake, ArtFuse, ArtSpiel and WoArt. Hilary Swingle
Hilary Swingle, a Salt Lake City-based figurative realist oil painter whose work showcases hyper-realistic imagery created through the indirect painting method. Hilary’s art has been showcased in galleries and museums across the United States and internationally, earning her recognition in prestigious art competitions such as the 16th ARC Salon, where she was a finalist, and the 2022 Exhibitour, where she was awarded an honorable mention by juror Alyssa Monks. Hilary’s love for art blossomed at a young age, which she mostly contributes to her grandmother Donnabelle, who transformed her kitchen countertops into an art studio every day after grade school. Her favorite lessons were about the Masters of the Italian Renaissance, particularly their mastery of rendering the human form. Equally inspiring were the Post Impressionists for their ability to evoke strong emotions without the use of realism, but with color and bold brushwork.
Although she always had the dream of becoming a professional artist, Hilary pursued a career in healthcare. She promised to return one day to her initial dream, which she fulfilled through her dedication to self-learning and seeking classes and mentorships from prominent artists such as Dorielle Caimi, Jennifer Balkan, Shana Levenson, David Kassan, and local art professor Perry Stewart. Hilary is represented by 33 Contemporary in Chicago, Illinois, and Sugarlift Gallery in New York,

Michelle Biggar
Originally from Queensland, Australia, Michelle Biggar is a self taught visual artist living and working in Vancouver, BC, Canada. After completing a Bachelor of Built Environment, majoring in Interior Design, at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia; and with a prolific 25-year career as an Interior Designer, Michelle’s art practice is born as a territory for the exploration of expressive freedom within the structures and geometries that dominate her work.
Michelle’s art practice is an exploration of the structured and the organic, the rigid and the soft, the free gestures of the hand and the precision of geometry – bringing these concepts together in a layered mixed-media expression that combines the tactile qualities of paper and thread into balanced compositions.
The circular form is prominent in Michelle’s current work. Here, pure circular shapes are dissected, manipulated and recreated in a quest for harmony, unity and new types of perfection. Colour combinations are explored for their emotive qualities. Layers of coloured papers are connected with sewing thread, embroidered by hand or machine-stitched, exhibiting the gestures of the process.
Through her works, Michelle explores and defines a unique language of abstract geometry and tactile play. She is interested in the quiet order and movement created through the use of repetition, colour proximity and pure geometry.
Michelle is an emerging artist with her first solo exhibition “Complete” -a quest for wholeness + the freedom between the lines” featured at Propellor Studio + Gallery on Granville Island from October 2022 through to April 15th, 2023.

Rachel Gooden
Based in rural New South Wales, Australia, the artist behind Stitch and Bone, Rachel Gooden, creates works that are an amalgamation of her fascination and awe of the natural world, in particular insects, and her love of creating unique handmade faux entomological stumpwork embroidery pieces made out of beautiful materials. These creations are not designed to be realistic replicas but rather fantastical representations – ‘dressed-up’ entomological versions of an insect shape that have been embellished and adorned with striking beads, fabrics, threads and crystals.
Whilst Rachel’s work embraces facets of traditional stumpwork embroidery she endeavours to create pieces that embody modern elements, aiming to bring this intricate and established art form into the present day through heirloom pieces that will hopefully be displayed and treasured – and perhaps become a part of someone else’s collection.

Besides encaustics, Meinhold has a regular sketchbook practice where she documents her travels with watercolor, pen and ink. She also often paints the landscape en plein air while out on hikes, bike rides, and even while backcountry skiing. Meinhold also creates her own inks and paints out of foraged materials, creates conceptual projects to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues, and makes ephemeral snow labyrinths as an act of moving meditation.
Janien Prummel
Janien Prummel lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. Wandering in and around the farm, during childhood in the Netherlands, shaped her preferences. Her affinity for old books, worn materials, objects with a (personal) history have their origins here. The texture and traces of time that become visible in the materials inspire her every time to collect and process. Collage (or assemblage) is her medium. She organises and arranges elements into new, mostly abstract compositions.
Besides being a creative therapist, Janien (1963) also studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. But she did not pursue the path of sculpture. To find out what is truly her medium and her visual language, was a long process. She privatly experimented with collage in (sketch) books. The sketchbook was a safe place to experiment and further develop her visual language and confidence as an artist. Books still play an important role in her work as subject, material and medium.
Kate Wilson
As a multidisciplinary visual artist, Kate Wilson creates frameworks to spark the imagination, infused by her former careers as a teacher and graphic designer. Across all disciplines, to creations and commissions, Kate adds hidden positive words, metallics, remote-controlled lighting, and even trash.
Kate says, “Making art allows me to communicate in a way that words cannot. Working in this pure form of expression, I create art to spark imagination and invite wonder.”
Kate trained at RISD and Skidmore College and has built her artistic practice from formal teachings, continued self-education, and the psychology of color. Her work has earned multiple awards, been written in articles, and has been invited into exhibitions. She was selected by RISCA for a solo exhibition at the Block Island Airport and has been featured in many other solo and group exhibitions, including the Providence Art Club, Artbox Gallery, Zürich, Switzerland, and the Bristol Art Museum, where Kate was said to be one of twelve “regional abstract artists to watch.” Kate’s Hope For The Planet aerial sculpture, spanning eight feet, was invited to be installed in the Rhode Island State House, where visitors could add their wish for the planet to the 800 wishes already present. Her art is in private collections worldwide, including a 12-foot work in the New England Institute of Technology residence hall and hotels along the Florida coast.
