This is an curated selection. We publish a selection of open calls from a pool of submissions and editorial research. Only open calls we believe offer meaningful benefits to applicants at different stages of their careers will be published. We email thousands of art practitioners weekly with selected opportunities. Applying for call for Art, open calls and submitting your work can er a tricky and taxing work. We at Arts To Hearts Project have been creating resources and opportunities for Artists for the past two years. We have so far organised over 8 editions of our International Call For Art. But, we dont want you to ever feel limited of where you want to apply. Hence, every month we bring you a quick round up of 5 hand picked opportunities for Artists.
1- Open call for artists for NordArt 2023
Kunstwerk Carlshütte is a non-profit cultural initiative and has been organizing the international NordArt since 1999.
NordArt is one of the largest contemporary art exhibitions in Europe, which is conceived anew every year. Between June and October, paintings and sculptures, photographs and installations by more than 200 selected artists (internationally renowned as well as newcomers) from all over the world come together as a monumental piece of art.
The exhibition thrives on the varying perspectives of individual cultures but also points out the fact that East and West, South and North share many common thoughts. NordArt counts more than 100,000 visitors every summer.
The exhibition grounds include the historic foundry halls of the Carlshütte with their 22,000 square meters of ground area, the charming ACO Wagenremise building, and an 80,000 square meters sculpture park.
There is no entry fee.
Eligibility: Artists from all over the world can apply to participate in the exhibition.
Prize: The NordArt-Prize is worth 10,000 EUR (approx. 9,749 USD). Moreover, visitors can vote for their favorite artist and the three winning artists will be invited to the prize-giving ceremony. Each award is worth 1,000 EUR.
2- LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize
The LOEWE FOUNDATION launches the sixth edition of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize, an international award celebrating excellence in craftsmanship.
The LOEWE FOUNDATION seeks to recognize uniquely talented artisans whose artistic vision and will to innovate set new standards for the future of craft.
The Prize for the winning entry is 50,000 euros. The shortlisted and winning works will feature in the exhibition and accompanying catalog in New York in Spring 2023.
Apply from 20 July to 25 October 2022.
How to participate
Read the Rules of Entry and make sure you comply with all requirements. All participants must be professional artisans 18 years or older. Entries may be made by an individual or collective (as a ‘group submission’). All nationalities are welcome.
Make sure the work:
demonstrates artistic intent in addition to technical proficiency is an original piece, handmade or partly handmade
is recently created (in the last five years), one-of-a-kind, and has not won any prizes previously
is innovative, in the sense that it updates the tradition
falls within an area of the applied arts, such as ceramics, bookbinding, enamelwork, jewelry, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, paper, wood, etc.
Complete the online registration in English
You need 2 to 5 photographs of the work (or series) and optionally a video. Write a brief conceptual statement about the work.
3- Call to Curators: FaB Festival 2023
Do you have an idea for an exhibition, performance, intervention, or event? Tell us about it.
Send us your ideas. If you’re selected, we’ll help you make it happen.

FaB is offering aspiring Curators the opportunity to devise and organize a show as part of the Fringe Arts Bath Festival program, running 26th May to 11 June 2023.
We invite fresh and challenging concepts; FaB is a test bed for new ideas, a platform for Curators and Artists to show experimental work beyond the gallery walls.
Anyone can propose a project, exhibition, performance, or event, “You don’t have to have ‘Curator’ written on your business card to apply”. Any level of experience is welcome: students, graduates, artists, local, national, and international.
FaB will support you with reaching artists, promotion, space – both online and physical, logistics, and more.
apexart Exhibition Proposals
apexart’s Open Calls are opportunities for artists, curators, and other professionals to turn their curatorial idea into an apexart exhibition, combined with inviting apexart’s international community to collectively determine our programming through an online jury process. Winning proposals become part of apexart’s next exhibition season and receive funding and staff support. apexart is not granting organization-all exhibitions are part of apexart’s programming.
apexart’s NYC
Open Call Invites Exhibition Proposals in October for the 2023-2024 Season
apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1-31, 2122. Five winning proposals will become apexart exhibitions presented at apexart’s NYC space as part of its 2023-24 exhibition season Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are imputed to submit a proposal online
The submission process
Proposals should describe focused, idea-driven, original group exhibitions. No biographical information, Cs, inks, or images will be accepted. Submissions cannot exceed 500 words and must be submitted in English.
The selection process
Rather than convene a small panel to review hundreds of ideas, apexart’s crowd-sourced voting system allows
hundreds of jurors to individually review proposals. An international jury composed of 600 individuals from a wide variety of professional backgrounds-including students at over 20 international universites-laste on the
proposals. Proposals are anonymous and randomized to make sure each submission receives the same
consideration, apexart staff does not influence the results of the jury in any way.
The results
The five winning proposals will each receive an exhibition budget of $10,000, staff support, and be part of
apexart exhibitions, Exhibition curators are expected, encouraged, and challenged to work within the funding
deadline/ accepting proposals October 1-31, 2622, 11:59PM EST.
Acte Laguna Prize 17

Arte Laguna Prize is the international competition, with international jurors, dedicated to you wan
