Submissions Are Now Open For The Studio Visit Book, Volume 7!

STUDIO

There’s something magical about the space where creativity happens. The half-finished canvas leaning against the wall. The quiet hum of thought before the first brushstroke. The way light falls across a cluttered table, hinting at stories still becoming.

That’s what Studio Visit Book is all about capturing not just the art, but the life that surrounds it. Since its launch in 2023, this internationally acclaimed series has taken readers inside the studios of over 500 artists across the globe. Each volume is a journey a beautifully designed hardcover that invites us into the worlds of painters, sculptors, photographers, filmmakers, and creators whose work reminds us that art doesn’t just hang on walls; it lives.

And now, we’re opening submissions for Volume 7, themed “Home.”

What Is Studio Visit Book?

Studio Visit Book is more than a publication it’s a conversation between art and the spaces that shape it. Each edition features between 50–100 artists from diverse disciplines and stages of their careers, offering an intimate look into their creative processes, environments, and inspirations.

We’ve had the honor of featuring brilliant artists like Sabrina Bockler, Lisa Nooin, Bouelle Tiffany, Iryna Maksymova, Anhelina Holembivska, and Malissa Jander each with a story that reminds us how deeply art and place are intertwined.

“Art doesn’t just come from within us; it comes from where we are

Distributed worldwide through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and other international platforms, Studio Visit Book has become a vital home for artists a place where their process, not just their product, is seen and celebrated.

Studio Visit Book Volume 7 Theme

For Volume 7, we ask a simple yet deeply personal question:
What does “Home” mean to you as an artist?

For some, it’s a room bathed in natural light, where half-dried canvases lean against paint-splattered walls, whispering stories yet to be finished. For others, it’s a single desk lit by a flickering lamp at midnight a space where silence becomes a companion to thought.

For a painter, home might be the scent of turpentine and colour-stained brushes resting in jars a quiet dialogue between hand and heart. For a choreographer, it’s the echo of footsteps across an empty floor, where movement transforms into memory and rhythm turns into release. For a writer, it’s the scattered pages on a table, the gentle clatter of keys beating like a pulse chasing an idea. For a filmmaker, home might be the hush that falls between takes that fragile pause where imagination feels most alive. And for a printmaker, it’s the scent of fresh ink and paper, layered with history and hope, each press leaving behind the fingerprint of time itself.

Maybe Home is found in movement in the dancer tracing memory through motion, or in the photographer chasing the perfect light across unfamiliar cities. Maybe it’s not a place at all, but a feeling a quiet certainty carried within, reminding you that wherever you create, you are home.

“Home is not always a place. Sometimes it’s a feeling that follows your hands wherever they go.”

This theme invites you to look inward, to translate your own sense of belonging and becoming into visual form. Is your studio a sanctuary or a storm? Does it cradle your ideas, or challenge them until they rise into something new?
