Get Your Hands on Our Latest 101 Art Book: Nature Edition 2
Nature has always given artists something to return to. A landscape can become a memory, a flower can hold a story, and a familiar place can look entirely different when seen through another artist’s eyes. With 101 Art Book: Nature Edition, that endless possibility comes together through the work of 101 artists from around the world, each engaging with the natural world in their own distinct way.
Across landscape, flora, fauna, imagined environments, and personal encounters with place, the edition brings together artists who observe, interpret, and reimagine nature through contemporary art. The result is not one definition of what nature looks like, but a collection of 101 perspectives that show just how differently we can experience the world around us.
Presented as a premium zig-zag hardcover with gold-foil detailing, the book unfolds through a sequence of artists and works, allowing each perspective to stand on its own while becoming part of a larger visual dialogue. Alongside the curated selection, readers will also find conversations with cover artist Tana Gaxiola, Michael Nauert, Elise Wehle, Noémie L. Côté, Annatina Franaszek, and Cash Award Winner Sahaya Sharma, offering a closer look at the practices and experiences behind the work.
For collectors, art lovers, and anyone drawn to the relationship between creativity and the natural world, 101 Art Book: Nature Edition offers something special: the chance to encounter 101 distinct artistic practices within a single volume, and to see how endlessly nature can be interpreted when we allow different artists to tell its story.
The Theme: The World Within and Around Us

Nature is often the first thing we learn to observe. Long before we have the words to describe the world, we experience it through changing seasons, sunlight, water, growing things, and the places that surround us. But nature is not only something that exists outside of us. It becomes part of our memories, emotions, identities, and the way we understand where we come from.
For 101 Art Book: Nature Edition, this idea became the starting point. The artists were invited to look at nature not simply as a subject, but as something that can hold stories, emotions, questions, and personal experiences. Some respond to its beauty and detail, while others explore its fragility, unpredictability, or the ways human actions have changed it. Others turn to natural forms and imagery to speak about something much more personal.
What makes the theme especially interesting is how differently it can be understood. Nature can be vast and overwhelming, or quiet and deeply familiar. It can exist in forests and oceans, but also in a childhood memory, a place we once called home, or an imagined world. Through these 101 artists, the edition becomes a celebration of that connection, reminding us that nature is not simply a backdrop to our lives, but something that continues to shape how we see, create, remember, and belong.
Meet our Cover Artist: Tana Gaxiola

Mexican artist Tana Gaxiola has built her practice around her fascination with nature and its constant movement. Her paintings translate that energy into bold compositions filled with expressive marks, rich textures, saturated forms, and an adventurous use of colour. Rather than simply depicting nature as she sees it, Tana transforms it into something of her own, creating works that feel vibrant, energetic, and almost in motion. For her, painting is also a way of exploring and understanding herself, making the natural world both a source of inspiration and a space for personal discovery. Tana Gaxiola’s website
Her journey in painting began with a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she studied from 2000 to 2005 and developed the observation, perception, and approach to colour that continue to shape her work today. Since moving to Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2005, she has developed an extensive practice across canvases, murals, and creative collaborations, sharing her work in Mexico and internationally. Over the years, her paintings have found their way into collections across Mexico, the United States, Spain, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, while her collaborative work has brought her practice into spaces far beyond the traditional canvas.
In Conversation With the Artists
The book begins with honest, heartfelt conversations with five amazing artists, each bringing their own experiences, ideas, and relationship with nature to the pages. We hear from our cover artist Tana Gaxiola, alongside Michael Nauert, Elise Wehle, Noémie L. Côté, and Annatina Franaszek.

Through these conversations, we get to look beyond the finished artwork and into the stories, thoughts, and journeys behind it. Each artist shares a different perspective on their practice and what nature means to them, making this section a more personal introduction to the people behind the work.
Meet Our Award Winners
Alongside the 101 artists featured in this edition, three artists stood out with works that brought their own powerful interpretations of nature to the collection. Our 1st Prize Winner, Sahaya Sharma, received the award for The Hybrid Survives, a vibrant work that brings together botanical forms, colour, and transformation. Her piece feels both delicate and striking, reflecting the idea that nature is constantly adapting, changing, and finding new ways to exist.

Our 2nd Prize Winner, Holly Zandbergen, was recognised for Aoraki/Mt Cook From The North, an expressive landscape painting that captures the strength and presence of the mountain through energetic brushwork and colour. 3rd Prize Winner María Elena Borzatta brings us Un yacaré overa a orillas del Paraná, a richly detailed work inspired by the natural world along the Paraná River. Together, these three works show the very different ways artists can approach the same theme, from imagined botanical forms to powerful landscapes and the wildlife that inhabits them.
Our 101 Selected Artists
